Print-Rite’s Long-Standing Commitment under New Law

Public awareness of product safety continue to rise as many countries tightened the corresponding product safety regulations. Effective March 1, 2020, new-built cartridges that violate requirements of the Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive (RoHS) are no longer ALLOWED in Russia. This new law once again affirms and reinforces Print-Rite’s unshakable commitment to making products that comply with the requirements of health, safety and environmental protection legislation.

Environmental Regulation within the Imaging Aftermarket

Within the imaging aftermarket, environmental issues have become a huge issue since it was discovered in 2018 that some aftermarket cartridges contained elevated levels of decaBDE. Bearing in mind that it is of utmost importance that companies supply products that are safe to use, Print-Rite is one of the first aftermarket suppliers to be accredited with QC 080000 demonstrating we are capable of manufacturing decaBDE-free cartridges. (see "QC 080000 Proves Print-Rite is Capable to Manufacture DecaBDE Free"). More broadly, the certification means Print-Rite products are in compliance with RoHS and REACH directives.

What is RoHS?

RoHS is an abbreviation for Restriction of Hazardous Substances and it is a directive for the European Union that limits certain chemical substances from appearing in electrical equipment including both toner and inkjet cartridges. All materials used in Print-Rite’s manufacturing site for production have been RoHS compliant since January 1, 2006. For decades, our products, from our toner and inkjet cartridge line to each individual component, are made with the intention of the highest quality with the lowest environmental impact. Actions taken by Print-Rite and UTec during the

epidemic prevention and control period

In view of the recent outbreak of the novel coronavirus, the Chines government has activated the highest level emergency response in several cities and provinces and

 taking measures in its attempt to contain the epidemic.

To combat the virus and maintain our services to customers and partners, Print-Rite and UTec has taken the following actions during this period:

1. To protect our colleagues and prevent the spread of the disease, we have extended the Lunar New Year holiday to 2 Feb., 2020. We, including our sales and customer service team, will resume work on 10 Feb., 2020 to serve you.

2. After receiving your orders, we will make the best production schedule according to the status of material supply, and liaise with you to  ensure that the shipping schedule meets your demand.

3. We have implemented remote working facilities and intelligent work collaboration system to  ensure a smooth instant communication among our colleagues, customers and partners.

4. In addition, we are planning to setup up production facilities in some ASEAN countries toensure that our supply will remain steady

5. We have applied high standard health checking and hygiene monitoring for our colleagues and workplace to  ensure the safety of the workplace and the product we are producing.

Epidemic prevention and control is everyone’s duty and responsibility. With the correct measures being taken, we are confident that the situation will be under control. Print-Rite will remain your reliable partner as we continuously improve ourselves in the current fast-changing environment.

OCTA 2019 | Risks and Opportunities in Imaging Supply Industry

Following the success of Print-Rite OCTA 2018 which has received unrivalled industry support and exceptional participation, Print-Rite is delighted to announce that OCTA 2019 ‘Risks and Opportunities in Imaging Supply Industry’, which consists of a luncheon seminar and a gala dinner, will take place on October 17, 2019 at Astor Ballroom, The St.Regis Zhuhai.
