Recharger
Magazine Bought by Recycling Times Media
Recharger Magazine, well known and read by
cartridge remanufacturers around the world, was purchased from 1105 Media by
Recycling Times Media on January 17, 2014, as part of its strategy to expand its global reach with its existing English, Chinese,
Spanish and Korean publications.
Recharger Magazine helped readers to grow
their remanufacturing businesses for more than 25 years—almost as long as the
aftermarket cartridge industry has existed. It provides news, technical
procedures, new product profiles, industry member profiles, legal updates,
inkjet and toner technology developments as well as business and marketing
strategies.
Recycling
Times Media, organizers of RemaxAsia Expo, the largest international
aftermarket cartridge trade show in the world in Zhuhai China, have also been publishing
and distributing their global Recycling
Times industry magazine since 2007. Their international team of publishers, editors and writers, including
many in North America, will continue to
deliver their hard copy, industry news and views magazine to a significantly
larger audience as a result of the purchase. Existing Recharger Magazine readers will have their current subscriptions
honored for the full term with a hard copy magazine delivered to their postal
addresses. Current Recharger Magazineadvertisers will also be contacted to help them make arrangements to reach the
new, combined, larger audience—larger in North America,
as well as around the world.
Remanufacturing
industry event World Expo was held in Las Vegasfor 17 years and exhibitors and visitors of this event in the past will
soon be advised of the details of a new event for the remanufacturing industry
organized by Recycling Times Media, to be held in North
America.
Recycling
Times Media will also own all the resources of the RechargerMag.com website
which will gradually be relocated to the irecyclingtimes.com website which
contains breaking, legal, technical and new product news, as well as a 6 minute
weekly TV news bulletin.
Commenting
on the sale, 1105 Media’s President and CEO, Neal Vitale, said, “We are pleased
to see that this important sector of the global imaging industry will continue
to be well served by the Recycling Timesmagazine and events. The Recharger
Magazine community, 70% of whom are in North America,
will continue to be able to receive news and industry information which is
relevant to remanufacturers.”
David
Gibbons and Tony Lee, directors of Recycling Times Media, are optimistic for
the future of the industry in the Americas. They jointly declared,
“Together with our excellent editors and writers, many of whom are North
American, we will listen to the needs of this industry that has experienced a
lot of change in the last 5 years. We want to provide a magazine, and events,
that will equip it to not only survive, but thrive for years to come.”
1105
Media and Recycling Times Media will work together to ensure a smooth
transition for readers, advertisers, exhibitors and visitors with their print,
event and internet experiences.
